Other details:

     Team Championship

Teams will be selected in accordance with the Regional Team Selection Policy.

·        All scoring for team and individual competitions will be based on combined scores

·     Each team of 4 will have a drop score on each day. The rider with the lowest score will be deleted from the team average.

·     Each team to comprise of four riders from the region who have been assessed as current members of one of the following squads: D, C, C+, B, B+, A / A   Young Horse.

·     Teams must include riders from at least three different squads.

·    Teams of 3 riders are permitted but must consist of 3 riders from different levels. All 3 scores will count. If a team drops to two members, they may still   ride in the competition for individual placings. However the competition is a team competition and therefore will not start with any individual riders

·     Individual Championships will also be awarded at each level:

 The individual championships will be determined from the individual results in the team classes - Rosettes and Prizes at unmounted prize giving.

  Conditions of Entry and Qualification

      As per Rules 166 & 169 of the British Dressage Members Handbook. All riders must be full BD members with fully registered horses and must adhere to the BD code of conduct.

      Riders must adhere to British Dressage Regional Selection Policy guidelines set down for team selection.

      Any riders found in breach of the selected policy may be eliminated.

     Arena Familiarisation and Walks

      Arena Familiarisation (exercise within the arenas) available from 16:00 on Friday until dusk.

    Arena walks from 07:30 each morning until 45 minutes before competition starts.  This is in walk, mounted, with competition number worn, and OUTSIDE the arenas

     Exercise of Horses

   There are two indoor arenas for working in, plus an outdoor clopf arena for exercise, for horses not warming up for their classes   Bridle numbers must be worn at all times.

    Entertainment

      Introduction & briefing Friday night, followed at 7.30pm by complimentary Pig Roast & vegetarian option.  Regions will host parties Saturday  

     Chef D’Equipes

     There will be a Chef D’Equipes meeting on Friday 19:00 in the cafe.

     Entry Information

     Entries must be submitted via RDOs  

     Closing date:        15th June 2019

     (Please note that after the definite entry date no refunds can be made)

      Entry Fees:            £240/team competition (£60 per rider)

                                        £25/entry for Classes 2 – 5 (warm up classes)

    Substitutions will be accepted after the close of entries until the 28th June. However no refunds will be given.

     Stabling

    On-site permanent stabling. Stables are supplied empty of bedding, and must be left swept empty

    Duration of Show (Friday to Sun) £85 (please notify in advance if you require longer)

     Shavings £8-50 (you are welcome to bring your own – not paper though). 

     Please pre book bedding if possible. 

     Please be on site before 8.00pm if you wish to purchase/collect bedding. 

     Please state if you require a stallion stable.

    Stables are allocated in regions where possible (with the exception of stallions) and stable plans will be clearly visible on arrival. Please indicate on entry form time of arrival.  Stabling will be open from           Friday 16:00

     Hook Up

      Hook up is available at the set fee of £50 for the duration of the show. This is payable with entries.

    First Aid

     There are on site first aiders, please ask the secretary or anyone from the office should you require help.

     Security

     In the interest of onsite security and health and safety all riders, parents, partners and Chef D’Equipes will be issued with a security wristband which must be worn for the duration of the  competition. 

    Please ensure that valuables are locked at all times and that your vehicles remain locked at all times.

Lorry Park

    There is ample parking for Lorries and ample hook ups. 

     Parking area for each region will be published with times

    Dogs

    Dogs are NOT allowed in competition arenas or warm up arenas.  Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and owners must clear up after them.

   Prize Giving.

     Prize giving and the closing ceremony will take place approximately 45 minutes after the last test on Sunday.  This will be unmounted in the main arena. All riders must be in full riding attire.

    General Rules and Conduct

     No person but the competitor may school a horse from the saddle for the duration of the show, with the exception that grooms may exercise at walk on a long rein ONLY

     In the interests of health and safety the directions of the stewards and organisers must be followed at all times.  Competitors and supporters are expected to conduct themselves in a manner befitting        the   nature of the sport and the spirit of friendly competition in line with the British Dressage Members code of conduct.

     All competitors will be bound by the BD code of conduct and social media policy, please refer to Handbook.

     Rude and abusive behaviour towards people and / or animals will not be tolerated and those in contravention of this will be asked to leave. 

     Emergency telephone numbers and contact numbers will be posted at the Secretary’s Office

    Please note that some areas are designated judges/officials only.  Please can everyone respect this.

     Vet / Farrier

     Contact details will be posted at the Secretary’s office.   

      Although not on site a Vet and Farrier will be on call - please however ensure that your horse / pony is well shod.

    Photographer

     There will be an official photographer on site and photographs will be taken during the event.

     Toilets and Shower Facilities

     The Toilets & Showers are open at all times.

     Catering

     Cafe open from 1 hour before first test until 21:00


DIRECTIONS:

From East A428 to St Neots, carry on past St Neots on A428, you will go under road & railway bridges, past a crane storage on left, then over a roundabout by Tesco. At next roundabout turn Right on to B1428 (Great North Road), over at least 3 mini roundabouts then at mini roundabout immediately after pedestrian lights turn left on to Bushmead Road. Follow that for about 3.5 miles, then straight over crossroads, and after 1.5 miles you come to a T junction, turn Right. Church Road in Keysoe is 2 miles on the left
From South M1
J13 A421, and stay on that road for 13 miles until the last Bedford exit (A428 Bedford & Great Barford). First exit on roundabout at top of slip, then at next Roundabout (by "Go Outdoors" store on Right) Turn Right, carry straight over roundabouts for 2 miles, then at Roundabout for Kimbolton Road (it has trees in the middle and a pub called The Pheasant on other side) Turn Right, past Golf Course and carry on for 8 miles to Keysoe. Church Road is one mile into the village on the left.
From the South A1
After Tempsford bridge, take the A421 for Bedford at the Black Cat Roundabout (sign Milton Keynes A421) after 4 miles take the Bedford A428 exit (signed Bedford A428 Great Barford) Right at roundabout at top of slip, over other slip roundabout then at next Roundabout (by "Go Outdoors" store on Right) Turn Right, carry straight over roundabouts for 2 miles, then at Roundabout for Kimbolton Road (it has trees in the middle and a pub called The Pheasant on other side) Turn Right, past Golf Course and carry on for 8 miles to Keysoe. Church Road is one mile into the village on the left.
From the North M1 J15
A45 past Northampton & Wellingborough to Rushden, at big roundabout take third exit for A6 south. At next roundabout take first exit for Kimbolton (this route is subject to an 18 ton limit) take this road for 10 miles, then on the far side of Kimbolton turn right onto the B660 on the far side of Kimbolton turn right onto the B660 (sign Bedford Pertenhall B660). Church Road in Keysoe is 5 miles on the right
From the North M6
A14 Past Kettering carry on to J16 (Old Weston Kimbolton B660) take the exit slip and at T turn left for Kimbolton. Follow B660 to end T junction, then turn left through Kimbolton (18 ton limit) on the far side of Kimbolton turn right onto the B660 (sign Bedford Pertenhall B660). Church Road in Keysoe is 5 miles on the right
From the North A1
Past Huntingdon to Buckden roundabout, turn right for Grafham (Kimbolton B661) Follow that road to T junction at end in Great Staughton (by Snooty Tavern) Turn right for Kimbolton, as you approach Kimbolton turn left on B660 on the far side of Kimbolton turn right onto the B660 (sign Bedford Pertenhall B660). Church Road in Keysoe is 5 miles on the right
